I will stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
